Title of Services: Facilitator – Assessment and Enhancing the Electoral Commissions Forum of SADC Countries (ECF-SADC) Capacities to domesticate the SADC Model Law on Elections.

Location of work: Remote with possibility of travel
Within the framework of the GIZ project on strengthening the National Regional Linkages in the SADC region, the ECF-SADC, through its mandate intends to embark on a project that enhances its capacities to implement the SADC Model law on Elections, with the main objective of capacitating Election Management Bodies (EMBs) to domesticate the Model law on Elections, to prioritise and contribute effectively to legislative reforms in respective countries. This project will improve the electoral process by ensuring that elections across SADC Member States become credible and add value to the democratisation process. Through the implementation of the Model law, EMBs will liaise with Member States to collectively address the contemporary democracy and governance related challenges in the region.
